Subscription Placed on Hold? But not?

Hello! I received a message today stating:

"Public Mobile here,

Please note your subscription has been placed on hold due to an unresolved issue with your payment.

To resume your subscription, simply log into the Public Mobile app or My Account to update your payment details. Alternatively, you can dial *611 to make your payment."

I logged into My Account and could not find any issues. My subscription shows as active and next payment will be due August 15, 2023. My payment history shows payment on July 15, 2023 from Autopay, and my credit card also reflects this (has been fully charged to the account, not pending status) similar to all the other times payment has come from this card. My card doesn't expire until 2024. I've done nothing to change my plan or subscription as of late, so I don't know what this text message was for. Hoping for some clarification from Public Mobile to confirm everything is kosher before I put it off as an error.

me too. frustrating trying to figure out whats going on with the tortoise like website.

@Capplatte- I think they're testing out some notification ideas. As said, if services are working then just ignore it. If I got that text I would think - what, my services are working, what are you thinking, and ignore it.

one of my friend got it too but turns out false positive  So, ignore if you have the service working

I received the same text today but my payment is up to date.  And my service is still working.  Not sure the reason for this text.

@CS_Agent  says that everything looks good. They were prompt to follow up.

I also received the same text message today. It may have something to do with switching from a 30 to 90 day plan. My Account had indicated for some time that it was on hold up until noon. Phone services have been working without any issues *knock on wood*.

Maybe they're fiddling around with bringing back some information texts like they used to around renewal. You'd think that if they're testing something that they would say this is a test, this is only a test. Why send something that would lead their customers to wonder and dig around trying to get to the bottom of it. This place.....

not good on PM part.  But if you want to help them to improve, you can message them and tell them there is another wrote text sent and ask them to pass on to the correct group.  You can message them here:

I received the text message from the same number from Public Mobile that messaged about a holiday promo, friend referral reminders, etc. so it's legit. But yeah my renewal is August 15, 2023 on my account and my phone works just fine. I guess it was an error if a lot of these have been popping up.

@2kayr I would just double check by calling 1.855.4PUBLIC, then enter 1 and enter your phone number.  If it always tell you the next renewal is August 15, then I wouldn't worry too much.  PM sometimes send out email/text wrong

There have been a couple of these today. Are your services working? If so then it would seem it was sent in error.
