There is a possibility of a problem with the tower I have had problems with a tower years ago back when I was with bell.

I think you should open a ticket to pm and see if there something they can do on there end. Use chat bot at the bottom right looks like a chat bubble

Hi Rastin. The mic is fine and the phone is not upside down. Please see the original message. The sim was used in an Apple 6S and worked fine at this address. The sim was moved to an Apple 14 Pro Max. Phone reception,etc works fine in some areas but not here at this address. Is it possible that the local cell tower is not optimized for this phone? Thank you.

First I would try you sim in a different phone. If it's works it's probably your phone.

Second check the mic and see if it's plugged with dirt.

Third I know this may sound dumb but are you holding the phone the right way up. I have seen people doing this mostly older people.

did you try your sim card in another phone?

and which area you are at? rural or city?
