Reduced speed data not working after I run out of high speed

Hi everyone, I'm new to the community and I just wanted to make a post because I'm having an issue and I really don't have any other options for a carrier because I need unlimited data also PM network works GREAT where I live when it's not having issues.

I made sure to do a lot of research before I signed up with public mobile and not only did I read through a numerous amount of forums and speak directly with other public mobile users and with their customer service beforehand to ensure I understood how the data worked.

I made sure to comb through their terms and conditions for at least a couple hours even though it's not very much information just looking over and over again taking screenshots of where it says that there is unlimited data at 512 kilobytes per second and that I wanted to make sure I understood that, no matter what, any plan I have whether it's 20 gigs or 50 gigs whatever, when I finish using the 20 or 50 gigs it's supposed to go to reduced speed data but remain usable and unlimited at that reduced speed of maximum 512 kbps and there's not supposed to be another limitation so I'm really not understanding why a few strange things keep happening.

number one concern being once my data runs out I always have to contact customer service and get themb to reactivate it and they say it's a "system issue" and raise the issue and then it seems that magically my data starts working again but when I go into my usage history and stuff it shows that it's only working because they basically buy you a free service pass and give you more data so then as I'm using it again my data will start running out and I'll get like another 95% data used warning and then I have to contact customer service again to get them to reactivate my data and I really don't understand what's happening, I don't want a higher plan because I'm already paying for 50 gigs and I'm ok with reduced speed because I only use what's app and email, no games or social media at all, I don't understand why it doesn't just easily transfer to a network status that provides me data at the reduced speed without me having to like raise this issue repeatedly because it's very time consuming and I just want to know if anyone else is facing any similar issues.

what I can do to basically not have to manage the the data this scrutinizingly?

because it's it's exhausting and I have a lot of very important things happening and I can't  have my data run out while I'm in the middle of a phone call with my wife on the other side of the world or my lawyer who's trying to save both of our lives please if anyone has any solutions to this I would really appreciate the insight and thank you sorry for the long read

@Jessefemee   If you log in to the Public Mobile app and go to "manage subscription" it should give details of your current plan.  It should say unlimited data at reduced speed there in the details of the current plan.  Is that what you see?

i confirmed with CSA and at the local telcom shop beforehand and they said that I definitely have unlimited data

@Jessefemee  If you are referring to this in the terms and conditions

10 Data speeds reduced to a maximum of 512Kbps after your included high-speed data bucket is exhausted.

You would have had to see a corresponding superscript 10 on the advertised plan for it to apply to the chosen plan.  If there was no 10 then it didn't apply, although I don't understand why support keeps adding more in that case.  I do have one of the earlier unlimited plans but have never reached the limit where it should switch to 512Kbps.

Only a few of the plans were ever offered with 'unlimited' reduced speed data. Most of the plans stop dead when you hit your data quota. It's been a while since those were offered.

When did you sign up? From my understanding, they have stopped offering plans at reduced speed for a while now.

When you sign into your account and click on your subscription, does it tell you what your plan details are? I assume it should tell you just like the amount of data, speed such as 4G or 5G, unlimited minutes, etc...

@Jessefemee - If you have a CAN-US-MEX, CAN-US, or a 4G / 3G speed plan, you do not have Unlimited Data at reduced speeds. The Descriptions that are shown are not true for any of the plans that are listed above. Freedom Mobile offers Unlimited Data on International Plans at 5G (256 / 128 when on Nationwide / US / MEX and 512 / 256 on Freedom Network).
