For the second month in a row I did not receive a text notifying me of
the upcoming renewal. Not a big deal for me with auto-pay functioning,
but might land someone an unexpectedly suspended account. One more thing
to fix.
With no US providers offering 3G coverage any more, how can Public even
think about selling US roaming voice and text service, knowing it's not
going to work.
I looked back at the message and they said it must be claimed by Dec 31,
2022. Also it was an oddball 'YES2' message required to claim, which
tripped up some. You might be able to get a sympathetic agent to add
them now by contacting support, but who...
My voicemail indicators and notifications have never worked consistently
on Public with iPhone. They worked fine when I used Telus. I've gone
through all the trouble shooting steps before with no resolution. Things
are intermittent at best, although ...
@dust2dust They didn't really even comply with the $15 requirement as
the CRTC demanded they offer it under the big brands. And they aren't
promoting or listing them on equal terms to their other plans.
Service will work in the US regardless of plan, somewhat spotty however.
It will use whatever it can find of the 2G network for calling and use
the 4G network for data. VoLTE has just started rolling out so you will
soon be able to use that in the US...
