5G not working

my internet connection is very slow or not working at all. I checked and confirmed that I am on 3G speed instead of 5G. I subscribed to 5G speed, why am I on 3G? Please upgrade my speed ASAP.

@timahdex , the iPhone 11 is not 5G compatible.  The best you can do is select LTE which is 4G.

sorry, iPhone 11 does not have 5G.  

but you can still use 4G or LTE to get close to 5G speed

Does it give an option to select a different network for voice and select a different network for data? I don't believe that any phone gives that option.

There isn't any way to make a phone use one network type for voice and another network type for data.

@timahdex , all plans have access to the 5G network.  The plan type determines the speed cap on the plan, not the network access.  Having said that, your phone would only connect to the 5G network if there is 5G service in your local area and provided that your phone supports 5G.  As for data speeds, that is determined by local network traffic.

Forget about xG speed. To many people hanging on internet tictok and other stuff so infrastructure cannot handle all that...

I experience slow speed too. WAY slower than my home internet.

hi @timahdex 

do you see the phone connected to 3G or 4G or LTE or 5G?  it should show on the top of the screen

go to network mode and manually choose to change to 5G or change to 4G or LTE as well to try
