Just moved my wife over to PM. She was originally on Chatr. She said that the service has been poor. She would try to make a call, and it drops immediately..not all of them. She would send some texts..they would take some time to send /receive
Phone is Galaxy A03..yes old. The network she is using is LTE/3G/2G auto connect
VoLTE calls sim1..on..should it be?
I have a Galaxy A12..and I have no issues. I am aware of the issue about 3G and that my phone may have connectivity issues but I have had none
any insight great community:)

@Stirling182 Reset network settings won't help as it is a missing band
But this is how you can do it
Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.
Please note it will delete the saved Wifi and Bluetooth connections as well, but you can add them back easily after

Ah...thanks. She didn't have any issues when she still was at Chatr 1 day ago. I know that 3G is going the way of the doo doo bird so I can assume PM went first?

Sorry..I didn't mean to hit solution accepted..tired day
Yes she removed her old SIM. She rebooted her phone when we went through the change step but I can get her to do it again
How do i reset networks? Just pick a different one then flip back?
thanks

Your phone is a North America model so you have both 850 and 1900. In area with no 850 network, you phone can still use the 1900
A03 is not designed for North America so it does not have the 1900 and that's why it has poor voice connection

So her phone is just worse than mine:) I haven't had any issues( yet) on mine and it isn't on the whitelist either

Did she remove the previous SIM card or eSIM?
Reboot the phone. It's a good idea to also clear the cache in the messaging app.
If that still doesn't work, she can Reset Networks. That should clear it.
But if the issues still persists, she would need to create a ticket and get agent to refresh account.

It is not the network but the phone
both your phones not on PM VOLTE whitelist , so it need 3G for voice. PM uses 850 and 1900Mhz on 3G
The A03 has only 850 and not 1900Mhz on 3G. And in some area, PM is retiring the 850 band. So, in such cases the A03 would have no band on 3G to make calls
She need a newer phone with VoLTE support. 3G is going away and she will see this situation getting even worse and worse on any network
