Hello Everyone…I just checked my account cause I upgraded my $15 plan and it was due to kick in this billing session. I noticed that under Subscription, it says $15 ULCW Base Plan-500 MB-4G…100.69/500MG. Judging by my past history, that seems like a lot for 3 days into this billing session. I checked my phone usage and, although I’m aware that it can be different, it’s only showing 5.54 MB of data used. That number is more like I was expecting. I adjusted the billing cycle to match my PM account. Would someone please explain the discrepancy? Also, I noticed that I now get 100 LD minutes to 7 countries…which countries 🙂?
Thanks for your help!

Yes, I understand that, computergeek541. I’ll be using them sparingly 😏.

So I can continue to use these until they’re gone to call the US without incurring an extra cost? I could have sworn that during my last billing period, while I was on the phone to my friend in Georgia, my phone pinged with a warning stating that I had 10 more minutes left on that period’s allotment. I shouldn’t have received that warning cause I’ve only used 311/500 Holidays minutes.
Public Mobile doesn't go back and charge for usage that has already happened. Those long distance minutes include long distance calls from Canada to the US (and some other countries too). Once you run out of those minutes, you won't be able to make calls to non-Canadian phone numbers.

Seems unreasonable to me that, for the same cost per month, I can no longer make a phone call to the US without paying more or by adding another app to my cell phone.
I see that now. I missed the mention of which plan you have from your first post. None of the $15 plans have ever included any service to call the US or to make calls while in the US. For calls to made to US phone numbers on a $15 plan, an add-on had to have been purchased or a free promotional add-on was given by Public Mobile to call the US.

??…BKNS27, I was asking a general question about the new $15 plan, not something specific to my account. dust2dust answered the question for me.
Thanks for responding.

The customer has not asked for any help at accessing the self serve account.

When it comes to whether calling US numbers is included or whether calling while you're in the US is included depends on your specific price plan. Plans advertised as being Canada-US or Canada-US-Mexico plans include both long distance calls from Canada to those calling destinations and also calls while you're in those countries.

Your data usage is updated by PM twice a day. Around noon and around midnight. Just login to your account on the PM app and swipe down on the screen to get the last data usage.
The 100 minute LD calling at to these countries are to China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan and UK.
There are more LD calling countries if you purchase the 300 minute Add-on.

This is just a quirk of the Public system, it always reports 100MB more than actual usage in the overview. Actual usage is calculated correctly.

It should be explained in the Usage Breakdown.
Also the 7 counties are listed under Subscription and Add-ON tab.
Click the drop down arrow on the main page.

@Griffyn1 , by chance do you have any data add-ons? The data usage on the main landing page also accounts for add-ons that have been partially consumed. This can cause some confusion.
