I ported my number from Rogers 5 hours ago and have spoken to customer service who have confirmed that the number was ported correctly. I have reset my phone but I still cannot receive or send text messages. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m on an iPhone, 11 Pro Max.

I had to contact them so that they could 'Refresh the network' - whatever that means.
SMS received during outage are completely lost though.

I wish PM would acknowledge that issue, somewhere, instead of just leaving us in the dark..

Did you find a solution? Having the same issue, not impressed with my decision to switch, so far!

did you get your problem fixed in the end? This is insane I'm having the same issue.

@SlippBC Actually one last thing maybe . If you turn off iMessage and face time and go in to setting general . And at the bottom you see “shut down “ the phone will turn off then turn back on and go back to settings and turn on iMessage and turn on face time and that should do the trick I think

@SlippBC Try resetting network setting one more time then see if that does the trick . If not you just wait for support to get back to you to help . Sorry I’m outta suggestions . Best of luck 🤞

There doesn’t seem to be an option to add numbers. But I went into my settings and searched for my number and changed my number to the correct number. I rebooted the phone and now my number is show in the send and recipient thing but there is a spinning wheel next to it and it says waiting for activation

@SlippBC So remove the wrong number from
semd and receive and re add the correct phone number and reboot the phone

I think you are into something here it’s showing the wrong number and occasionally says waiting for activation

@SlippBC While waiting also check in messages in phone settings “send and receive “ shows your phone number
And that sms is toggled on

@SlippBC And you have sms enabled in phone settings I trust ? What customer service were you talking to . Old provider or public mobile support ?

Data is working. Phone calls are working (incoming and outgoing). I did leave my old sim in until after I replied yes to Rogers (and the customer service agent saw this in his end)

@SlippBC Are all other services working calling and data most importantly can you recieve phone calls or does it go straight to voicemail. Did you leave old providers sim in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port ?

I reset my network settings and that did not fix it. I also tried it in an old iPhone and sms did not work.

04-04-2024 05:36 PM
Physical sim.

@SlippBC Try resetting network settings . Is this eSIM or physical sim if it’s the latter can you get the sim card in another phone to test ?if it works put it back in the 11 pro and it should resolve the issue
