I recently got set up with a public mobile account. I transferred my previous number to this account and was able to use it for a few weeks, but for some reason the transferred was cancelled and public mobile gave me a new phone number. The new phone number does not work and neither does my old one.....how do I fix this?

HI @justyk_19 You porting request was never completed
do you notice that you never able to receive incoming calls on your PM since joining? The incoming calls were still going to your old carriers. And likely you have been paying of the old account as well in the last month
Make a porting request again. This time, make sure you have your old SIM and reply the text within 90 mins

If you were able to use your ported (old) number at PM but suddenly cannot, that means something went wrong with porting.
Check with your old provider if they still have your number.
Mind you, both accounts (old and PM) have to be active in order for porting to be successful.
Contact PM agent and explain what happened. Be prepared to lose your old number if something really weird occurred. Good luck and let us know of outcome, please.

@justyk_19 For porting, an important part is to get a text from your old provider and you need to reply within 90 mins. Look like you missed that completely and hence the porting was not done
You will need to go back and My Account, click Change Number and re-request the porting. You will need to have your old provider SIM for this to happen, and that account has to be still active. You can try to put your old sim in a phone and see if the account with your old provider still active
