No SIM for 2 weeks. Put in a ticket. No follow up. Tried chat. Agent disconnects immediately

I get in the cue for live chat and I get kicked out without even speaking to the agent. I don't know what to do. Filing a credit card dispute and not singing up for public mobile.

@dee52   If your phone is locked to Fido, no other company's sim will work on it whether esim or physical sim.  Phones purchased after 2017 should not have a carrier lock but it happens (happened to me with Rogers).  So if you plan to switch again you need to get Fido to unlock your phone first.

Thanks for your response. I ordered on Oct 27. I should have received the SIM by now. I opened the ticket last week. My phone is locked by Fido. It is not compatible with an esim.

That is a good point - going to a Telus or a Koodo store. I didn't realize that I could do that. I have already filed a dispute with my credit card company and moved to another phone plan with my current carrier.

If you file a dispute with your CC company for the SIM. You may run into AutoPay issues with Telus or Koodo and you will be paying with vouchers for a year if you decide to go with PM.

@dee52   If you're having trouble contacting support via the chatbot (support isn't by live chat, you just submit your ticket and wait for a response which could be within an hour or sometimes longer) you can instead send a private message to support using this link

@dee52

It takes up to 10 business days for PM SIM card to arrive.  However, with the Canada Post strike, the delay likely will be longer.

It takes several hours for a ticket to addressed by the customer service agent.  Check your private message inbox for response.

If are still interested in PM and need the activation of SIM card right away, many phones are compatible with eSIM cards.  Also, if you live near a Telus or Koodo corporate store, they also sell PM SIM cards for $10.  Keep the receipt and often CSA will reimburse afterwards.

Hello @dee52

First, it does take up to 4 weeks to get it via Canada Post. And now they are on strike, good chance you won't get it for a while.

Second, there is no such thing as a "Queue". You have to create a ticket or private message to a CS Agent with the chatbot down in the bottom right corner.

And finally, if you want a SIM card faster, you can go to either a Telus location via the link below or purchase from Amazon.

If you need a physical SIM, Amazon sells them. Click on AMAZON for the link.

Or locations near you that have a SIM. TELUS STORES
