New $34 30GB with 4G speeds

A new plan is available! So, what do you do, take the 20 GB at 5G speeds or the 30 GB at 4G speeds?

TBH, 5G is not really different with 4G in daily use for me. Price is the key. If PM has any plan like 20 dollars for 10GB 4G speed in the future, I will absolutely switch it. 😄

I would take the ability to add on more data at 4G over the ability to limp through the rest of the cycle at 0.5Mbps (call it 2G) every time.

I consider unlimited 0.5Mbps (and no quick way to pay to go faster) not useful.

It's not about 4G or 5G (I actually don't even use 5G).. It's about 'unlimited' part which I'm pretty sure I would barely use. But just feels better..

plan wise, this is no longer a tier 3 carrier, this is pretty much another Koodo and Fido

Have to say PM has really been impressing lately for anyone wanting tons of data for a reasonable price..  If I were in the market for that kind of plan, I'd probably pick more data over speed..

Switched my upcoming renewal to this plan 10 more GB of full speed data is worth more to me than unlimited “slow” data, and the the speed difference between 4G speeds and 5G speeds won’t matter much.

But they couldn't make it 5G plan with unlimited data after 30GB as it is in Quebec (and I'm pretty sure not many people would actually even use all data they have) 😞

I still think there are more plans coming out Friday morning. I think this is the tip of the plan iceberg!
