My son can’t sign in to his account.

If you cannot sign in. And it says to wait an hour and try again and you receive an email that says your account is locked……reset the password as per the given rules. Mine was like that for days with various lengths  of time in between tries. If reset takes…..you will get an email saying so…..then wait the hour or so and try the new password. It worked for me.

And what kind of message he gets?

Try using different browser. Try Incognito/private mode. Clear browser’s cache. Try forced refresh. Use computer and not phone to log in.

If you did not receive or cannot receive your 2FA code by SMS - Click on: ‘Didn’t get a code’ and you will get more options. Chose email.

Try the Forgot login and Forgot Passwor there.

And if you want to resume service first, get a voucher from Shoppers drug mart and you can load the voucher using *611 , this can at least get the service back first
