Locked sim card

I had to replace my phone so I moved the sim card to the new phone and it tells me that it is locked. I don't know how to resolve this.

@DougHay

It sure sounds like it is locked or it is not compatible with PM.

What is the make and model of your new phone?

You can return it for a refund if it is locked or not compatible.

@DougHay

is there someone close by with a cellphone you could try your sim in their cellphone ?

Was purchased brand new from Amazon as an unlocked phone.

@DougHay  Is this brand new phone or new to you ? If used new phone you will need to ask the carrier it came from to unlock it for you . If it’s just a SIM PUK support can help

@DougHay

could be your new cell is locked to previous provider. Try the sim in your old phone or a different unlocked phone.
