Is there a way to get the bonus data for existing customers?

I could use the 2GB bonus data. However it seems it only applies to new activations.

I see that this is closed now, but in case you still needed the extra 2 GB, there is a Christmas gift for free from Public Mobile that, if you accept before December 31st, you will receive a one-time gift of 2 GB data and 500 international call minutes.

the bonus you asked about was for new activations, but by December 15 all existing customers should have received a SMS offering a Christmas gift of minutes and data , if you reply YES to this SMS you will get the extra  data you need and it will not expire until you use it

Too many threads are asking about this bonus data nowadays, its very lucrative but is for new activations only.

While old connections gets loyalty bonus but still All eyes are on Dec Bonus now.

@loggywd  sorry.. it's always like this for any mobile provider.. they gives good deals to new comers but not exiting.  This is how this business operates.  

Luckily, we can revenge. porting can be easily done and there is no need loyalty to your provider.. Shop for good deals and jump for one that save you the most.. Even you have gone, one day you will find a better deal at PM and you can jump back easily

(yes, you do need to consider your loyalty reward and your friends referral rewards.. those are things that PM does differently from other providers and try to make us stay here  🙂 )

You are about to hit the $4 in loyalty rewards (+any other rewards you may have) so really the $40/5gb plan gives you the same data for only $1 more and you can still change plans to suit your needs whereas new activations with this promotion must not change plans or they lose the 2GB bonus. Pay the $1 extra and enjoy the 5gb of data.

 @loggywd : Note the keywords used...customer/activations. It's activations. Any existing customer can start a whole new account by activating a new SIM.

The promotion is only for new customers and activations.

If you really want this promo and extra data, you could activate a new account with a new phone number.  If you want to keep your present PM phone number, you will need to port to a different mobile company and then port back to Public mobile.  Unable to port one PM number to another PM number.  You will lose whatever rewards or credits in your original PM account.  There is additional costs to port your PM number to another company and port back in.  Usually not worth the hassle to do the above.  

However, if you don't have much rewards and a relatively new customer, it might be worth activating a new account and close the original one.  

Usually, in December, PM does offer holiday give aways with free data add ons and long distance minutes.  One time add ons though.  This promo is usually for both new and existing customers.
