Hello Community,
We want to inform you about the ongoing Canada Post strike that started on November 15, 2024, which may affect the delivery of new Public Mobile SIM cards. To ensure you receive your SIM without delays, we are switching to alternative couriers for the duration of the strike. This means that customers are required to sign for their SIM card upon delivery.
For detailed information on how this may impact your orders, alternative delivery options, and how to proceed if you have an outstanding order, please refer to our Help Article for more information.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

It's been 10 business days. I am quite sure my phone is not compatible with esim. I have prime but I've been charged for my first month and sim card, so I don't want to get charged again.
I also ordered a sim card for my son after the strike started and it was still sent canada post.
I appreciate any guidance.

How long has it been since you ordered it? If it's been over 10 days you can log a ticket with support to request a refund. Do you have Amazon Prime? Is your phone esim compatible?

hi @StewTim as said in the announcment, PM will use other way to deliver during the strike, so it should be ok.
But it you want, ask support to confirm.
you can submit ticket by direct message:

My email shows it was sent canada post. We are in northern ontario, so going to a store is not an option. What happens to my order? Do I get refunded?

@StewTim Public Mobile is using Purolator while the strike is on:
That said, Public Mobile is known for being slow to fulfill sim card orders. I recommend buying from Amazon for $5 or going into a local Telus or Koodo store and purchasing one in person for $10.
Alternatively if your phone is esim compatible you can purchase an esim for $0.

So what happens if we ordered a sim card and it was sent canada post. I'm stuck with no sim card and because I am not activated I'm having a hard time navigating things on the website

Thank you for this tip

Thank you for the Amazon Prime tip! Much appreciated!

@xuper Not free, no. You'll have to pay $10 in store. But if the online order was delayed you could contact customer service to try to get a refund for the original order. But you will have to pay if you pick one up in store, and no they don't price match. If you have Amazon Prime you can get a card for $5.

@AlgheroJohn No just as long as it’s a new unused public mobile sim card and then log into your account and sim swap the number in profile page like this
SIM SWAPPING profile tabs
This can be done in the app too , but if you can’t log into just ask support to help you sim swap it and you will keep your same number and plan no worries

HI @AlgheroJohn
does not matter. But from Amazon for cheaper ($5) with 2 days delivery or buy from stores for $10 in person

I damaged my sim card so it wouldn't matter where I bought the sim card - Amazon or Telus/Koodo store?
but if i bought SIM card online and I have not got it, can I pick up in store for free ? or if i pay again in store , can i get refund online?
@AlgheroJohn You can but from corporate Telus / Koodo stores or order one from Amazon only $4.99 there right now

What city or community did you buy your sim card in? I'm having a difficult time finding a place that sells Public Mobility sim cards.

I just went to the Telus store and bought one. Didn’t get the sale price but it’s only 5 bucks more.

@Moe001 Yes you can , go to Telus / Koodo store

it’s good to have spare SIM card in hand anywyas incase you lose or damage yours or to give to family or friend to join PM and use your refferal code and reward both accounts

I made a purchase online and found out that the sim card deliver is in 10 days.
Can I still go to the store and pickup another sim card and activate with that instead?
Thank you.

you have to ask PM. Since you are not active subscriber, you won't be able to open proper Chatbot ticket, so just message them

how to track my SIM Card? if i can get it for a long time, how to ask for refund? I do not use public mobile anymore.
It's easiest to pick one up at a Telus store.

if you have a esim, then you obivously don't need it. You can order from Amazon, i did it for my mom as her phone does not have esim capatibility. I think its only $5 + tax. and as you know amazon uses your own courier.

HI @Alasrula
when you placed the order? Sim card delivery can be 3 days to 3 weeks here
But best to ask PM support agent for status, you can submit by direct message:
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
Better to ask if you can pickup another one from a nearby Telus or Koodo store instead of wait longer to have them resend a new
2 weeks ago
@Alasrula SIM card can take up to 3 weeks to arrive from public mobile at best of times so with strike could be causing it to be even longer now , but if you need one sooner go pick one up at Telus /Koodo store order one from Amazon $4.99 there right now . And it’s good to have spare SIM card anyways in case yours gets lost or damaged or to give to family or friend to use your refferal code and reward both your accounts . If you decide to just pick one up ask support if the willing to reimburse you for it it’s been more then 10 business days so you don’t have to wait for new one to be sent out

Thanks for the update
Still easier and cheaper to order from Amazon though. No signature on delivery required. Or pickup locally from a Telus or Koodo store.
