Customers are unable to remove a payment card themselves from a Public Mobile account. Please open a ticket to ask a customer support agent agent to perform this task. https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html

Go to the payments tab, not in the app, but in the website using a laptop/desktop (PC). Click Manage Subscription then click on the subscribe to toggle the button to run it into unsubscribe. It will then say "You are not subscribed."

Remove autopay credit card info to stop autopay. Your account will be suspended without payment at your next renewal date. 90 days after suspension, your account will be canceled. You have 90 days to change your mind by paying and reactivate your account.
If you have a plan with high demand, you can let someone to take over your plan. Your phone number will go with the plan to the new owner.

Do you want to cancel your service/account? Or cancel/change/suspend your 30 day plan?
There are no refunds or pro-rating at pm. But you can change your plan immediately or now but is usually only recommended if you are out of data and desperate for a lot more or are less than a week from renewal. You can change to a different plan or renew your current plan wifh fhe help of a CSA.
You can schedule a plan change on next renewal which is the preferred way to change your plan as once it's schedules it will automatically change to your new plan upon renewal. You can cancel it at anytime up until renewal at midnight eastern.
There is a known glitch that can happen if you have chosen a more expensive plan and you normally depend on autopay to pay for your renewal. The more expensive plan can trick the system and cause an autopay failure.
It's always best in this situation to manually top up your account with the new plan amount before the scheduled plan change renewal. After the plan change goes thru you can return to using autopay as before.
You can temporarily suspend your service for up to 89/90 days. This can be done by removing autopay or by using the lost/stolen feature in your account. Once your current 30 day plan is up for renewal it will either suspend for non payment or if you self suspend it stops immediately. If you do this before midnight eastern the night before your plan renews you retain active voicemail.
In both cases you must pay and reactivate your service before the 90th day (you have a couple of hours of leeway but not much.) Its best to give yourself a few days grace in case there is an issue and you need to contact customer support.
If you have suspended via lost/stolen you must manually resume your service via/lost stolen to pay and reactivate your service. In every other circumstance adding enough funds to cover your plan amount via 611 or calling 1 855 4PUBLIC and entering your 10 digit phone number to access your account will automatically reactivate your service plan.
When suspended via lost/stolen 611 will take your payment but cannot reactivate your service. Only you can manually resume your service in your self serve account. Anytime lost/stolen is enabled even briefly will cause rewards to not apply upon renewal. You must contact customer support after renewal to have them applied manually.
If you do want to cancel your service then suspend preferably by removing autopay and don't reactivate by the 90th day to have pm cancel and deactivate your account and release your phone # to the original provider. Or porting your number out automatically closes/cancels your account.

@sdehaas if you port your Public Mobile number out to another provider, this will also cancel your Public Mobile plan/account.
But, it is recommended to remove any registered credit card prior to do this, as you also lose access to your Self Serve account once you port out.

cancel the autopay if you have registered to not get renewed automatically and hence it ll be gone.
If you are keeping the number alive and would like to port out to another provider then you need account active for the authorization SMS.

To cancel your plan, log into self service and remove autopay. Your account will close automatically after 90 days from your renewal date. You can also remove your credit card too. You can also dial 611 from your phone to remove autopay but will need your pin.
