How to add Friend?

How to add friend in this new Community?  I cannot find my way around to add

You are correct.

You can actually add friend while being in private mail but future friend has to send you private message first. Even though it says 'added to contacts', friend will show up in 'friend' list.

Scratch all that. You can friend or ignore a user by clicking on the settings icon for each member. Click on the settings icon on the left beside the send a new message to manage your contacts and friends. I would have thought someone would have explored these options by now?!!🤔

So, ignore is gone , too.  I guess that could be a bigger lost than Friend?

That option no longer exists. Previously there was a setting in private messages allowing you to "friend" or "ignore" each member in their private message or in their profile.

It looks like PM removed that feature in latest Community update.

I can see my old 'friends' I added before but there is no option to add new.

What for you would use 'friends'?
