Emergency! My friend can not receive any texts after changing to PM

She already changed to PM one month ago. She can not receive any text even a Public mobile verification code. So she can not access the ticket and community post. Please contact me for details.

So what was the issue @NGNLWSS ?

Not receiving texts seems like a phone issue rather than an account issue. Did you try your SIM card into another phone to see if texts work (like was suggested)?

You mentioned texts, but than something about calls. So is this a text only issue, or also call issue?

Are you an iphone? If only texting, and if you turn your data off occasionally, then turn off iMessage altogether and use regular text messaging instead. To do this, go to Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage off.

If you prefer to use iMessage, then you can perform the following steps to try and fix the issue:

  1. Connect to the internet using WiFi or Data.
  2. Go to Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage OFF.
  3. Turn your iPhone off completely, then turn it back on.
  4. Go back into Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage ON.
  5. Make sure “Send as SMS” is also turned ON.

If calling, do you need to deregister an old number from the iphone, and reregister the new number correctly?

@NGNLWSS  Does her old provider SIM card still work ? I’m thinking this could be stuck in port issue will send you the porting team number   private message to get status update on the port and re trigger it if needed . Also here is a direct link to support

And there is error on the submit ticket.

She only received public mobile user calls. Other not.

@NGNLWSS  Most important question can she receive calls or do they go to voicemail?

@NGNLWSS can you check with your friend if she ever received incoming voice calls? 

if no problem with calls, try Reset All Networks in her phone.  If that does not help, try her sim card in another phone

@NGNLWSS  Has she tried to reboot the phone ? Or reset  network settings ? Can she try the SIM card in another phone to test . ? Can she receive phone calls or do they just go to voicemail ?
