Elderly friend having trouble with payment...

CrashLoveless

I'm hoping someone can help.  I have an older friend, who is not very good with tech.  She did not give Public Mobile her new credit card number when the old one expired, and now her account is cut off.

I was trying to help her, but came to find out she has never setup a online account for herself, so she had no way to login into that account for the new information.  Her phone is her only real access to the internet, so I am trying to  help her get her phone back on line and establish an account.

Can someone advise if there is somewhere we can go to setup an account for her existing phone number and get things fixed for her?

Thanks in advance.

@CrashLoveless

How long have they been a PM customer? If they signed up before the switch over to eversafe then they will have to make a new account (if you go to the my account page there will be a sign up button) and then contact customer service to have it linked to her existing number. They will ask info to verify the account but will be able to help you.

Use the link below to directly message a customer service agent for support. They will answer you in the mailbox here on your community account so please keep an eye on that.

Purchasing vouchers from a Shoppers, gas station, or online with services like Muskbird will be able to get the account going. But you will have to get support to help you link the new account to the existing number in order to login with the new system if they didn’t create an eversafe account when they signed up.

@CrashLoveless  Your friend can buy payment vouchers from shell gas 7-11 canadien tire and load them *611 and resume  services and worry about updating the credit card afterwards from the payment page of her profile

Update credit card info

In your my account go payment tab >manage subscription >manage payment method or use this link

https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/my-payment/manage-subscription

or alternatively she can ask support to help update it for her also

Is she able to operate web sites? She could go to muskbird.com and make payments directly into the account. Or you could with her credit card. She could continue to do that or once the account has restarted then you and she can muddle through the new login system and change the credit card on the account.

@CrashLoveless  if the account is currently in suspended status you can also look into obtaining a voucher to make a payment through 611,  see here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles?q=vouchers

Locations to obtain some vouchers found here: https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/payment-voucher

But, getting into their My Account you can then change up the card to get things going again. If you try the Forgot your Email or Password option does it give you the option to get a code via email to log in? Hit RESEND a few times and see if that option comes up. OR, enter an incorrect code a few times.
