I have gone with the nickname of "nalorin" (or "Nalorin") for ages. And that's what I used to use as a nickname, here. Now, after all of this "EverSafe", when I log into the community, it demands that I select a username, but my normal username is showing as not available for some reason.

I am ok with my new names if the account works. I like to help but to go for the community rewards …. I have better alternatives.
Telus optic is a long story and would be honest an accurate, but my comments would not be appreciated.
Telus optic boxes SD have a handy Netflix channel. The only thing I don’t like vs using an Apple TV is the closed captioning uses unreadable script and background. And Netflix settings don’t help.
They now say the APP can be spotty to the point of not usable. Now I can see the freezing we had over the years using it….was the imperfect APP. So I deleted the channel and went back to the Apple TV. I googled it and found the last day of reliability was end of May. And the new option is to ask for 3 new 4K boxes. During the time before my fibre install I was advised 3 times that we would get new 4K boxes at the install. NOPE! Just got an email yesterday saying I could order online the new boxes and basically hurry up and do it before the app does not work. Well it doesn’t and now I have to be inconvenienced with a break in service. And I have to install my self. And I bet I have to supply a mobile device to do it. We have lots of friends that are too old to be techies or don’t have a device to install. Do what then, Telus? I am old …. but good with technology. There dates are all over the board and are not making sense.
If Shaw gave me a 2 year deal for a bit less $ for the same HOME services … I’m gone.

curious, what is your Telus Fibre and Netflix issue? why you lost your Netflix using Telus Fibre??

On the first day of the new system I was able to change over one account without very much trouble. I might have done the password reset trick but not sure. I was out of country and that account sim was at home. (for your interest since I think I know who you used to be here...I was in both Irelands and then England).
You are correct. I have had 3 or 4 sets of Community names.
When I got home I went about trying to convert my other two accounts. I got the same problem with the community account as we're seeing now. Add nickname. Nope, that one's already taken. I know. By me. It's mine. With the properly linked email address. Sigh. The service accounts logged in fine though. Just not community.

I contacted support. They said it could be a couple days. Then I asked again (as we often suggest to customers). That agent told me to put in a new name anyway like a temporary name. Then another agent picked up that thread and said he did it. I was now finally able to log in to the community on both of those accounts and all their history was there. (only one had some history, the only piece of history the other had was its sign up date)
I gave up on it all and decided to just loose my bravoes and rankings. BUT one of them.....all of the posts to to UnModerated. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a solution. Not happy with PM and not Happy with Telus fibre, and the loss of Netflix Channel on Telus optic. hmmm see something common here. At this point I find it hard get involved with something that I did not cause. But I know it is being worked on and hopefully every one will be up and running. I plan to put little to no effort on my behalf to get it fixed, other than a weekly follow up.
I did not post anything with those community accounts. As we see with the OP here, those temporary accounts got changed to Anonymous. Their history will be gone.
EDIT: I cannot post in the Community from my most frequently used device, an iPad Air. When I get to eversafe....all goes blank. And most Telus Apps no longer work for me as well. Every one, not only Telus, expects you to supply the missing pieces, device wise, and a mobile phone number...... so am I supposed to run out a by a $600 iPad???

@Proxima If you joined last Saturday, when you activated, your account should already be linked to the email you used to activate. Assuming you using the same email address as you login to this Community id @Proxima , then all you need to do is to click Sign in - My Account - on the top right (or this direct link: https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/
If it still does not work, open ticket with PM Support and they can sort it out

I can’t get my account to link. It’s not clear how to do it and I can’t answer most questions on here.. i joined Public Mobile last Saturday. I don’t see why they can’t do this automatically.

Your original Community account is still there with your desired name.
The conversion to eversave was sloppy and caused you to actually make a new Community account.
Many of us have the same issue as we thought we could just re enter our original nick name. NOT!! Because your original name is still in use.
I lost my ranking, badges, and bravos x 3.
Personally I don’t expect to see my original names back.

Your response makes absolutely no sense
My username was "Nalorin" but now I'm forced to use "Nalorin1". How does the former "put a damper on the community" when the latter is literally the same thing with a 1 added, but that doesn't?
Most useless response I've ever seen.

We have no idea of what the orignal username was, so I'm unsure of how orignal username caused a "damper" on the community. The need for some members to choose new username is a Public Mobile system issue.
