I have just submitted another ticket for this same issue. I first tried to get this resolved in July - it is now Dec and it hasn't been resolved.
The Alternate phone number I was forced to choose during my original sign-up process with Public Mobile, is still showing up as the number I'm texting from, which confuses people - they think my texts are spam. I was able to transfer my original phone number to my Public Mobile account - with the help of TELUS not Public Mobile. And at this moment, this original phone number (not the alternate) is the only phone number showing up on my account within my Public Mobile account.
I want the alternate phone number created during my sign-up process starting with 236 removed from all functions on my account. I want ONLY ONE phone number - my original number that I successfully transferred from Telus to Public Mobile.
So far no success getting this resolved through a Public Mobile Ticket, so am trying here - in the Community.

I have taken the alternate phone number out of my account, BUT it continues to show up randomly when I text people!! This is so weird! I need to have something done that I don't have access to, in order to correct this.

as a matter of fact, you don't even need to have an alternate number....just delete it and fuget about it !

@katbrandon In your account on website profile page you can tap the pencil next to the alternate number and change it there yourself
