As tile says CAN/US /MEX plans have arrived community wow weeee have a look 👀
Black Friday sales shaping up to be the best ever

@Handy1 great info and also I don't think Freedom is avaialble in all provinces, i.e. the Atlantic provinces

@Liz71 Yes, turn data roaming on and leave your network selection set to Automatic. In fact, leave data roaming on all the time (even when in Canada) so you don't ever forget; you'll never be charged extra with this prepaid service anyway.
Yes, calls are included as well. What phone do you have? The US networks are a bit different and require a VoLTE device for phone calls to work.

I signed up for the Canada/US/Mexica plan. We plan to go to the US in the new year. So, since I have not done this before- do I turn on my roaming or leave off when in the US and the data still works? And if I get a phone call from a tour operator while in the US, that call is included in my plan? ( It does also say unlimited minutes in the plan)
I'm a little uninformed with some of this phone plan perks and would love to learn.

Fingers crossed the BF sales will still be on there in a couple of weeks 🤞
a week ago
and you need to use Change Now for the change. How long you are going US? maybe it is still there when you are back, or hope
a week ago
I do see a Canada only 4G service for $30 but I'm going to the USA on Sunday. Good idea but timing doesn't work for me @slusagm 🙄
a week ago
you see any $30 plan? Someone just tried and able to change to $30 plan and then see the $35 plan. But with that, you will have to do Change plan now to the $30 plan and you would then want to use Change on Renewal to change to $35 in the following month
a week ago
My current plan is $36 a month. They won't let me sign up for the $35 Mex-Can-USA plan... sigh! 😬
a week ago
@DennyCraneYes I agree with their proposal. I just need to weigh the practical options. 45GB of extra data to burn over 90 days does have some appeal, especially with the rural internet not being so great. The plans keep getting better, so I might as well change to not get locked out again.
Sharing helps others in the same situation as you know what may be possible, so thank you for sharing. What's there to think about then? That sounds like they gave you everything you wanted, right?
I hesitated to share the specifics but can confirm what @slusagm has said. They offered to change the plan now and a partial refund since I'm only a short time into the subscription period.
I originally opted for the 90 day Canada-US subscription since it came with extra data for $34 monthly.
Ah. Hence why I'm not a fan of the 90 plans. There's way too much fluidity with plans around here. Not to mention if you want to port out you're also essentially in a contract for 90 days.
i think the proposal is to make a plan change now instead of schedule the change, which OP has to give up the 1 or 2 months left in her 90 days plan.
from previous engagement, support can only help to change plan now but not schedule change

@mitchnet12 Do you mind sharing the offer they proposed?
Just an update from contacting @CS_Agent. They confirmed that the $35 subscription is a promotion for new activation, and certain customers. Since I am on a 90 day Canada-US subscription, as I had suspected, it isn't available to me in self-serve. They made a surprisingly good proposal to get me switched to the current offer, which requires some consideration on my part.

Switched 2 lines to the $35 plan today. Vamos!
Thanks @Handy1 and @DennyCrane. It looks like I might need to contact @CS_Agent. I'm on the 90 day offer from last month, and that could be part of the issue, given that was also a glitchy affair.
@mitchnet12 I was able to switch from the $34/50GB Can/US plan to the $35/50GB Can/US/Mex plan today.

hi @mitchnet12
i think it is for everyone
it could be just a browser cache problem. Please try again using Incognito/private/secret mode on your browser to login My Account, or try using the PM app (logoff the app first and log back in)

Could the $35 CAN-US-MEX be for targeted existing accounts? I see @Genuine post, but it's not available to me.
I changed to the $35 deal on next renewal date and the new subscription did actually show that ""Calling Features: Call Display, Voicemail, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, and Conference Calling" ARE INCLUDED!!
OK.. Thanks for your help. Hello $35 plan!!
@Genuine It’s just an oversight, nothing to worry all the features will work . Sometimes the plan description aren’t the best but as the community has mentioned from experience they are included and have verified before with support
2 weeks ago
Why was there a change? And why are "Calling Features: Call Display, Voicemail, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, and Conference Calling" not showing in the $35 plan. Is it just an oversight or is it possible those features don't work in Mexico? I'll sign up for it WHEN I see it in the actual plan on the PM website.
hi @Genuine
yes, those features are all there , they are not standard features for every plan
2 weeks ago - last edited 2 weeks ago
@Genuine No worries all those features are included except call display won’t show your name just the phone number will appear unless the people you call have you added in their contact list then your name will show up at that time
2 weeks ago
All current plans include all of the above.

The $35 plan does NOT seem to have? Clarification from admin?

It's all about the money! The cell companies say they need to limit price promos but are doing it to attract customers (https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/canadas-mobile-price-wars-to-continue-past-black-friday-on-promoti...)
I'm a bit conflicted. I want to get the most features for the least amount of money. But I own shares in some of these companies in my retirement/investment accounts (as I am sure a lot of people do through the tons of Canadian ETFs and mutual funds) so I don't want them to suffer to much 😂!

@Handy1 Yup, agree. I was thinking more for the add-ons, not the recurring monthly roaming plan. We don't travel enough (yet 😎😂) each year to use all that. While travel e-sims are cheaper and offer more GBs, it sometimes is handy to be able to use your own number for calling and things like MFA texts.
Fingers crossed for more stuff!
