All I need is access to the odd long-distance call to the US - don't care about data or texting

I have the basic Canadian $15.00 100 minutes of outgoing talk within Canada and don't text or use any data. I would like to make the odd call to the US from time to time. The add-ons that are brought to my attention all deal with increasing data and roaming charges. I don't want to roam, I just want to call to the US from my home in Vancouver. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Several folks here provided this solution. Many thanks. Although everyone must think I'm a complete idiot, my new computer set-up hides the scrolling bar when I stop scrolling so it appeared to me I had reached the end of page offering the add-ons everyone has kindly recommended. I went back to that page and kept scrolling and found what I wanted. I can't reply to everyone who responded and hope at least some others get to see this.

But you have been registered here for three weeks, did you not have a plan activated by Christmas day in order to grab the free 400 minute US and International calling add on?

@BrianBruise  You need to purchase one of the following add-ons. The 400 minute is a better deal. The minutes will remain in your account until all used up. (No expiry)

@BrianBruise I would suggest purchasing the 200 minute add-ons, it does not expire until you use it all up. Perfect for the occasional calls, you will know its run out when you call cuts out. To avoid running out of time, occasional check out how many minutes use in Self Serve and purchase another 200 minutes. Happy Calling!

Alternative is you can get a free voip app like TextNow...you'll be able to call numbers in Canada and US for free and text anywhere also for free, using your wifi. I'm sure there's other voip apps but I've used TextNow and happy with it.

You can purchase either the 400 international LD mins for $15 or the 200 US/Canada mins for $8.  Just log into your account and under 'My Data & Add-ons' select 'Purchase Add-ons' and follow the prompts to make your purchase.  Remember you need to add the funds first for the applicable add-on and then complete the purchase.

Buy the $8 200 minutes US and Canada long distance add-on.  Only 4 cents/minute.  It is more convience than using long distance calling card and no dialing a long string of numbers.
