Hi ! Our anniversary is Aug 30 and we would like to cancel the subscription.
*Do I need to 'Unsubscribe' in order to cancel the subscription? IS there anything else I need to do to stop the auto pay and terminate the subscription?
*How do I remove the credit card details from the account?
*Once canceled, can we re-activate it later ( using the same SIM but ok to change the phone), If Yes, by when do we need to re-activate?

Unless there is a balance in the account its easiest to "unsubscribe" which disables autopay or automatic payments. If you intend to reactivate before 89/90 days then keeping the credit card on file helps facilitate paying and reactivating especially if you cut it close to the 89/90 day deadline.
If you choose to allow the account to cancel you can have customer support remove it or you can replace the card with a $0 gift credit card. (Private message me if you need the details of a card for this purpose.)
If you want to be sure you save the account and phone number plan reminders to reactivate around day 85/86 so you have leeway in case you run into an issue...like eversafe...and can contact customer support.
If August 30th is your renewal date then reactivation will need to occur around November 27th or earlier. Renewal dates can be confusing in self serve so count the days yourself and understand you need to pay and reactivate before day 90 thus around day 85/86 is preferable.
If you intend to suspend again after 30 days and you do not have a grandfathered legacy plan you can reactivate on the $15 plan to save $$. Choose change subscription. Select the $15 plan. Choose "change immediately" and you will be redirected to the payment page.

@dreamboats , to add to what @softech said, please do that & also if you have the option you can also go sign into your credit card account & lock your card until the day after your payment would come out. I know I can lock mine when not in use any time I want.
Edit: I would do these things right away though before they try to take the payment.

1. you can login My Account before renewal and toggle off Subscribed. PM will not get money from your cc at renewal and the account will be suspended, not cancelled. Account will be officially closed if not reactivate within 90 days
2. you have to open ticket with support to get the CC removed
3. You hve 90 days to resume service if account is suspended. After the 90 days, the account will be officially closed, it cannot be resumed then and the sim will no longer be useful
