50GB Reduced Speeds.

Priority

On the 50GB Unlimited Subscription Plan, the speeds are 250mbps up to 50GB, however what are the speeds after you hit that 50GB and begin using reduced speed/slower data?

With Bell it kicks down from 250mbps to 512kbps, and it makes it the reduced speed very clear and easy to find out, however what is it for Public Mobile after you hit your Data Cap? It doesn't seem to say anywhere.

Also with this 50GB Unlimited Plan, if you have Data Add-ons that are grandfathered in and don't expire, once you hit your 50GB will it begin using Reduced Speed or will it first try to use your Add-ons before reduced speed?

@WildSage  Your right you wouldn’t . But I’m not sure if we get throttled 512kbps or 256kbps have a peek at this

official website.

I've been wanting to know the answer to this as well. People on here just like to regurgitate redundant information in order to get "bonus points" in the community.

It sounds like what you're asking is how fast is the 512 kb per second. And is it even usable. That's the same question that I have. I don't think you would be able to watch a low resolution YouTube video on that

@Priority

For data speed after the assigned data are all used,  it will jump to 512kbps after the data are used up

²Data speeds reduced to a maximum of 512Kbps after your included high-speed data bucket is exhausted. Speed may vary with your device, Internet traffic, environmental conditions, applicable network management policies and other factors. Please refer to Public Mobile’s Network Traffic Management Policies here for further information.

For the old add-ons issue, once you are on the 5G plans, the old unused addon will be shown under Incompatible Add-ons on My Account.  I guess they are Incompatible because PM will change the data speed to 512kbps instead of using the add-on for easier management on the system side.  However, those Incompatible data will become compatible again if you ever change it back to 4G or 3G speed plan

@Priority  The speeds get throttled to 512kbps once your 50GB data Bucket gets all used

Adding to your second question I’m not truly sure . My gut tells me it will use the grandfathered data at full speed until you’re all out of data before the throttled 512kbps kicks in . That’s a good question that you may want to confirm with support . And let us know I’m curious please and thank you
