20 gb data at 5g speeds

Not sure I understand the Black Friday deal (20 gb, 5g, $34 month). Is the 20 gb of data at 5g speed renewed monthly or every 90 days or not at all? What does it mean to me in real terms when I have used up the 20 gb? It says I will continue to have unlimited data but at reduced speed - meaning what, back to 3 g? Will I notice anything?

@richie_b2 Once you use your full 20GB of 5G data you'll then get unlimited data throttled at 512Kbps, or 0.5Mbps. For context, this is 1/6 of the speed that your old 3G plan had (i.e. very slow).

HI @richie_b2

when you activate, the system already set you to Autopay (and you have to select that check box to go through the activation process)

you can also confirm by going to My Account, Subscription & Add-on , click Manage Subscription, you should see Subscribed is enabled, which means autopay

You can see that I am on auto renew with my credit card on the system? Or is that a general observation?

Was on the $25 3G plan, upgraded to the $34 5G plan today. Obviously seeing considerable increase in speed right now but not sure what 512 kbps compares to ….

@hTideGnow Where do you see $35 for 30GB? I checked BC and QB and I don't see that.

HI @richie_b2

Yes, the $34-20GB is a 5G plan, but there is also another one of $35-30GB in 4G plan

For the 5G plan, you do have the unlimited data at 512kbps.  It will automatic kick in when you used up your data

PM cycle is every 30 days.  Your account is setup to Auto renew with your credit card on the system.

@richie_b2  It automatically renews every 30 days  and reduced speeds of 512 Kbps
