For sending pictures, make sure your data is on and not just using the wifi. It seems, for me anyways, to be the only way it works. Regular texts doesn't matter if it's on wifi, data etc.

I've been in the same situation:Restart device, try a different browser, make sure to delete cookies (history wouldn't hurt too) and try again. If it still doesn't work, click on forgot password and go from there.
