Seriously Many other carriers have options if payment is greater than $100 your balance does not expire. Public even used to list 180 day plans in the past (no idea why they were ditched)   Bring in a 365 day plan. Just pay it and forget it.   Even from a support viewpoint, if payment is made once far less Mod interaction is required (even if repeating billing error, 1 fix vs 4+ fixes a year seems a no brainer)   From a revenue standpoint it is a winner since you are deferring when rewards are acumulated to end of year (interest free loan) as well as guaranteed revenue (since no worry client could cancel)   From an infrastructure point of view less system wear and tear since clients can not be switching plans every couple months or jumping on every promo flash sale you introduce   The only negative is forums might quiet down if people check online less often (but really do we want nervous people who need to check their accounts every month to see if something worked or not?)     ... Instead of people worrying about how many minutes left in their booster, or how many days left on roaming etc why not create a permanent booster?   eg pay $10 per month for Canadian long distance add on, or $15 per month for US long distance add on (just using industry avg prices but Public could make whatever)   They could also have add ons for data this way too     ... Can we add one more combination of data & text for USA from the individual options we already have ?    USA add on's we have include: the 3 services of talk, text & data available individually. We also have 2 combo's:  all 3 (talk/ text 250mb for $15) & a talk+text ($15)   It would be great to have a Data +  Text option !! (To keep it simple - either text + 250Mb data for $15 or I'd prefer 500Mb data +text for $20)   Data: I find data the most useful for USA roaming.  One can use Google maps, look up stuff & utilize various data based calling options (Google Voice, Fongo). Text: I also find texting quite useful when coordinating with others on a trip & this is not easily replicated with other options. You know, Canadians pay possibly the Highest rates in regards to Data, and it's now becoming apparent that no relief is yet insight. Unless the CRTC/CCTS can get Tougher, Canadians may find it hard, Perhaps Impossible to have Carrier service. Telus/PM could lead the way. What would be considered a Fair Rate to pay? Hi PM,   How about giving customers the option of using their reward dollars ($) for permanent plan features? For example, Canada wide calling could equal 2 or 3 referral dollars. I'm quite sure that many families have all members on Public Mobile.  That is our situation too.  One improvement that would help me a lot is to have a single log-in for all family accounts and then a menu to choose which account to view and manage.  As it is now, I am often mixing up passwords and then getting locked out.  What do you think?  Can you do this for us? ... While I was signing up for PM, I had to attempt at least 5 times for both myself and my wife's account before I succeeded (I did them on separate days to make sure one of us always had a working phone, so I couldn't remember the magic combination of things I had to do to make it work the first time). But in the end, though, I realized the reason for the failure is because I use 1Password for my passwords. That always caused the form to claim that the password didn't match the password requirements. (For those that are programmers, 1Password sets a 'data' attribute on the password field, and somewhere in the JavaScript that checks the password requirements, it flips out if any 'data' attribute is set no matter what the suffix is.)   I also got complaints from Chrome that there was JavaScript being served insecurely, and it turns out the pages are loading JavaScript from HTTP instead of HTTPS URLs. I had to manually tell Chrome to load those scripts and ignore this issue. ... View more

My wife and I have PM accounts and it'd be great to link them for discounts. In the future, our kids will have accounts too. The community forum has several users consistently complaining about forgotten passwords and an inability to access accounts. It'd be awesome for PM to partner with a password manager such as 1Password (a company also from Toronto) by recommending the service in email or online web page to assist with both strengthening personal account security and avoiding forgotten credentials. ... When creating a new PM account and during the step of selecting a new phone number, the dropdowns do not work on Google Chrome on macOS. I ended up switching browsers to use Safari to make it work, but I'm sure a lot of new customers won't know to do this and PM may end up losing new customers as a result. ... View more
