Welp, I saw someone suggest nicer plans, and promos from companies, etc. @makkahn28 *cough*. Anyways, I know you guys are owned by Telus. This is good news, as Telus is currently running a promotion with Cineplex to get free Scene Points (http://www.telus.com/en/bc/deals/scene/) which is cool, but to be honest, I used to be with Virgin Mobile, and as much as I hated the service, I LOOOOOVVVEEDDDD the Member Benefits: http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/members-lounge/index.html There was quite a few times they would offer 2-for-1 deals on Cineplex Passes. It would be great to be able to keep making phone calls and sending texts when I travel out of the country to places like the USA. Maybe you guys could team up with other networks and maybe offer a service like this as an add-on. I know you are already on Telus' network, maybe there could be some cooperation there as they do offer roaming in the USA. Nothing fancy, just install and run the app to automatically identify the device model/IMEI/etc then report that it will work or it won't work (and why: incompatible mobile bands/protocols, blacklisted, locked, etc).  Perhaps also autoconfigure a working phone with a valid PM SIM card (APN settings, voicemail, etc, as necessary). ... Something which is surprising is that Public currently has no online bill (or even download PDF version). Many people require info from bills such as HST details (even if prepay service, PM still collects taxes) and some basic use info (eg if on 90 day plan even a simple summary of 500MB used, 1.5GB remaining, 200 long distance minute booster remaining). ... I would like to propose that if your rewards go over the amount of your plan, you don't loose them in the future, just can't claim them until you raise your plan price. Or if you go one vacation and don't want to pay your full plan price while you're gone, you can suspend your account or lower your plan and not lose your rewards when you get back. ... View more

I'd like to suggest that if several people in the same household use PM that they can add the lines together into one account to make it one payment instead of several. Then have a multi-line reward to offset the loss of the $2/m automatic payment for each additional line added. I'd also like to suggest that if multiple lines are on the same account that possibly plan data could be shared, or at least addons could be shared. Thanks for your consideration.   For context, some people might not join just because they will end up with more bills. For instance, my parents use Telus right now for everything just because it's all on one bill. Phone, internet, TV, 2xmobile plans. It's going to be hard enough to convince them to switch to PM for their phones to save money with them then paying for Telus bill and 2x PM bills. Public should consider allowing Canada Post locations sell Public Mobile Vouchers, They're easier to find, Less BFS, and straightforward. 7-11 is also another place PM should consider, Plenty of locations, and not too hard to miss. I think there needs to be an option to have multiple phone lines in one account.. this is the easiest way to gain new customer as existing happy customers would naturally try and add a family member to Public Mobile if it was easy to do.     Shared data plans can also be offered.  People can perhaps comment below and tell us what they like to see in a family plan.   ... At some point PM will be ready for "prime time" and want many new customers. Since we get a Reward for every customer that signs up referencing our PM phone number, why not "warehouse" SIMs with willing current customers. Plus, as current customers we would help newbies wend their way through their set up! PM should have Dedicated Folders In Community for PM clients, O'l and New, if they are inquiring about specific info, to save time and energy    Having a Folder for The SMS Short Codes Currently available   A Folder on APN (Access Point Name) and Tethering for Android, Window, Apple and BB   A Folder on What Handsets are Comparable, at far as PM is Aware of, and which Carriers Phone was locked to before are at least Reliable enough to be Comparable   A Folder with Links to Places where You can Purchase a Handset from, as PM is a BYOD carrier   A Folder on MMS info,    Stuff like these that can help Organize the Community and better Direct them, as opposed to the Info Scattered and Chaos brewing when they need to see that Info   Organization may be a better way to keep House in Tip Top Shape ... Hi..   I suggested something like this already earlier but just for the sake of it here it is again:   Why can't we have a column to the right of the website showing all moderators as well as their status of either offline or online?   Why do we always have to search for moderators,click on the name and only then see their status? very very time consuming,frustrating and annoying to be honest..   Also: it would be nice to have an updated list with moderators as some have come,gone,retired or took over other duties....   But all these issues can be easily resolved by showing a live feed of all moderators and their status....it for sure would take out lots of confusion and frustration for online users   cheers and hopefully this will finally be considered ! ... I know it sounds kind of silly, but Public really should help save people from themselves. I have seen so many people posting their personal phone numbers and other private info online.   Either a blanket ban (we know your system can censor words, so censoring anything that looks like a number should be easy) or else some sort of oversight for new members (restricted posting rights, or even a newbie sandbox which has mods + oracles policing them)     ... Hi,    I am unsure if this is already proposed - but as a new customer of PM, i am slightly irked by the downtime of PM / Selfserve portals.    We all know that downtimes are unavoidable but a better downtime management would help the users.    Currently the website doesn't notify the user of a planned downtime (I couldn't find it) nor the temporary unavailable page shows estimated downtime and when will the service be up.       Suggestions :    1. Have downtime notifications in homepage as a marquee or a small banner atleast 3 days in advance so that user's will be able to plan ahead.    2. Have downtime notification pushed to social media like Facebook & twitter ( I couldn't find a post in either of social media)   3. Revamp the downtime page by providing more information and including an estimated go live timer - something like "Sorry, we are busy gettings things sorted. The new bug requires more attention than the Future Dated Plan bugs.    Why? Because there is a simple workaround:   1. 2 days before expiry make a 1 time payment equal to the new plan cost less any available funds 2. day before expiry click Change Plan, pick the new plan, click activate now, log out   That's all it takes; wel plus publishing the procedure. Customer loses 1 day of pre-paid service for a no glitch change; Public Mobile gets to concentrate on the new bug. Rewards aren't available but will carry over (I think). ... View more
