hi..

being with PM now since August i always see the same issues arising ( many of them for the lack of understanding how PM works and also lack of reading information in this forum..while it has already been many time suggested to "clean up" the forum layout to a more overviewable one may i also suggest, that new subscribers/customers should receive a welcome email urging them to also read the forums in detail and explaining shortly, how PM's community works.. maybe insert a few links as in:

how to contact a modertor and what info will be needed

all you need to know about our community

etc..

this would for sure not get rid of all of the posts but many of them thus reducing the frustration levels caused by people not reading the forum, choosing the wrong way to contact a mod and then complain of not having heard anything from a mod or even only ranting ...

just something to explain to newby's, how to do what... obiously many of them still do not know how to do what simply because the forum is too confusing and messages are all over and hard to find...

just a thought !

cheers

Hi hate to say it, but if someone isn't going to take the time to read the forum when they start, or as soon as they have an error, an email is going to be no different.

I've been in tech support for years before my current job, and I can't tell you how many times clients will say I don't read those things, or I can't access my email because I forgot my password, so I created a new one.

Sure it's a great idea, I was first time subscribing failure, as my SIM wouldn't activate without moderator assistance (still not really sure what the problem was), but when I came back 7 months later, boy did I ever research to figure out what the best practice for registering, plan selecting, and eventually porting was.

Options that fail on user input need to be reduced or simple clear examples need to be stated on the various forms.  Porting should be removed from activation sequence, and should only be available after a fully working temporary number has been activated.

However, after saying all this, I will still Bravo this, as it is yet another tool to try to inform subscribers on what to do.
