I had to remove the old SIM card from my phone before I could make or receive calls. This step came AFTER my old phone provider had released the number to PM. I'm using an eSIM with PM.

@Nicky1951 Is your Koodo account post paid or pre paid ? And is the Koodo account still active ?
in your account website or app
“transfer number”
@Nicky1951 Is how to port number to PM of you already activated PM account or you can do this on activation . But if you have Koodo pre paid you need to first select temp PM phone number and then ask support to transfer number for you

I do not know what the problem is. I want to transfer my old phone number from Koodo to Public Mobile. I reached out to Koodo yesterday & they stated you at Public Mobile have to request the port over. My phone has not worked for at least a week now...not getting any calls or texts

@Nicky1951 Leave old providers sim in the phone and ensure the account is active , you can port the number over in activation or do it after you activate , so leave old providers sim inthe phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port
