SIM has Nothing to do with data speed. All SIM are created equal.
Speed depends on your provider ability to deliver.

@Stundoman - There is no need for a new SIM card. Some people still are using their SIM card on 5G from 2014 when Public Mobile decommissioned their CDMA network in 2014 of August 8th and transferred all users to Telus's network as we know today.
But yeah, all PM SIM cards work with 5G, and if your phone doesn't support 5G here, LTE is really just 5G NSA but older labeling.

@Stundoman No special SIM card needed for 5G . One you have will work fine . And you phone needs to be 5G compatible too . But even if you phone is not 5G capable with phone set to 4G/LTE being in 5G plan. You can still get better speeds of 100mbs 4G plan . Infact I argue with 5G plan best to keep phone on4G/LTE anyways you still get good speed and the phone battery should last longer and not run as warm . With phone set to 5G

@Stundoman Your new PM sim card will work fine for 5G or less, but whether you get 5G will also depend what phone you have since they aren't all 5G capable.

the PM sim will be 5G , 4G, LTE, and 3G useable.

Good Morning @Stundoman
All SIM cards can handle 5G. No matter how old.
