settings and my phone number

In the past, when I was using other telecom companies, my phone would open settings and show my phone number. Now after switching to public mobile, I open settings and find my phone number, but it shows unknown. How can I make my phone show my phone number?

Are you able to receive phone calls and texts at your original number?  

If you are able to receive calls and texts at the same number, your account should have been set up correctly.  

As mentioned, reboot of the phone or a network reset of phone (note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords) may help.

I switched to Public mobile about a week ago and I had the same problem. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro and I was able to enter my phone in network settings. I have had no issues so far. 

Try restarting your phone and see if that changes anything. If not, try manually entering the number.
