how to disable the annoying, useless private messages feature and its prompts to my email, would be appreciated.

To be honest,  @hairbag1 , while there is a likeness, there's so many disjointed points that it's frequently difficult to make any association. 

 

But I hear ya... 😉

Private messages are not useless. They are used to communicate with CSA and other PM customers.

I doubt ANY actual PM customer in good standing with PM will message you out of blue.

You might get some SPAM messages from time to time but nothing you can do about that. We all experience that... Just report, delete.

You can turn off email notification though as they come from community only.

Not meaning any disrespect...but your language is a bit confusing again. I think what you're trying to say is the same as what the last contributor, @HALIMACS said, isn't it.

HI @farter   , if you issue is with the email notification and you don't want to get too many emails because of that, you can turn off all email notification :

but why you need to disable private messages you needed to used with customer support agent for if you need anything with service....

just you need to open the messages and make reporting in bottom left site and that reporting is going to CSA, and them will check it out if that customer doing wrong think in here the will remove the account is better to you do right think,

 

or ignore and delete...

Hi @farter 

 

If you are going to amend your settings such that you receive no email nor private messages, if you (by chance) need PM customer support in the future, be sure to allow private messages to come through so you will receive their reply to initiate a support ticket.

 @farter : Click on your house avatar and select My settings to get into all the settings.

You can turn off all emails or just private messages.You can turn off private messages if you like too.
