The customer doesn't need an eSIM compatible phone to port a phone number to Public Mobile.

You can only port your number over to PM if your phone is eSIM compatible. Lots of members have switched to eSIM and later found out their phone is not eSIM compatible. One way to find out if is compatible is to go into your cellular settings and see if there is an option to Add eSIM.
Keep in mind that SIM is more flexible when you are switching from phone to phone by popping out the SIM and put it into the other phone. Where as eSIM, you need to purchase one for each phone.

Monthly should be a bit of a smoother process but you may still need to contact support if you're having trouble.

Thanks for replying, how about monthly? I don’t login to prepaid, so im not prepaid customer.

You can transfer from a physical SIM to an eSIM or to another physical SIM.
You may want to contact support for assistance with your eSIM (especially if you're on Koodo prepaid which has a different porting process). To contact support you can submit a ticket through the chatbot by pressing the chat bubble in the bottom corner and typing in "submit a ticket" and selecting "Contact Us".
If that doesn't work you can message support directly from here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
