@softech I wouldn't call it widespread, as I have services working this morning. Something going on in some areas though.

@esjliv  so, it is widespread outage in Halifax? nothing showing on Telus outage page

thank for this, never been here before so I didn't realize that.

@Lorraine_2010  I’m in Nova Scotia myself . And services are working for me . So is it possible for you to try the SIM card in another phone and see if your services are working properly

Last evening, I did @softech. It was sporadic. Seems ok this morning though.

Hi @Lorraine_2010  we are customers just like you here on the forum. So we have no idea of timelines. Occasionally toggle into airplane mode and back, or restart your phone. If you really want to ask PM, contact them privately by either these ways:

1 -  Normally Faster - use this link to: Get Help With Public Mobile Chatbot], OR

2 – Slower - Use this link to: Contact Public Mobile Representatives (CSA) by submitting a PRIVATE MESSAGE to start a ticket to them here: Private Message to Public Mobile Customer Support Agents (CSA)

Not receiving calls, they go to voicemail. Text are sketchy, eventually everything will come in all at once. I am trying what you suggested with WCDMA and rebooting. This has been happening since yesterday (that I noticed).

@Lorraine_2010   Like any outage, it is hard to say

But what exact issue you have? just voice? or data and text?

First, reboot your phone once more, then try to change the Preferred network type or network mode to 3G ONLY or WCDMA Only and see if it helps

Thank everyone for your help and support 3G works!🙌

@DianneA - did you actually change settings in your phone to 3G only? Because I did not, and the network and services came back on its own.

Thank everyone for your help and support 3G works!🙌

@DianneA

network outage can happen to any carrier occasionally, if it has been working work for past 8 years, it is a reliable service and maybe give it a chance

So, you tried changing the Preferred network to 3G already? If so, does it show the phone connects to the network in 3G setting?

@DianneA  Ask support to investigate for you . What’s going on and why

@DianneA

Which area are you in ? City and pronvince?

Did you check if your account status is active?  To avoid browser cache confusing,  please login My account using Incognito mode to confirm account status

If it shows On Hold (Suspended) , then it is a payment issue.  Click "Pay Now and Resume Services" to make a manual payment

If it shows active,

  • first try to reboot the phone
  • If that does not work, change the Preferred network type or network mode to 3G only or WCDMA only and see if it works
  • Try to click Reset All Networks and see if it helps
  • and do you have another phone to test the PM sim ? just to make sure it is not a device problem.  Also, that can force a sim card re-provision and it could resolve the problem
  • Also, try the phone in another area if possible, it could be just a local network outage
