Did you mean:

calling 1-866 numbers from Mexico

I have the International plan with Canada/US and Mexico but am unable to connect to my banks 1866 number for assistance.  I can make other calls to family in Canada.  I also am unable to check my voice call messages.  Anyone know how to fix this issue? @

hi @Sol3

Interesting if it will work, as according to replies maybe it will not work, but looks like it's some kind of common problem with calls from Mex -> CAN

In Mexico, change the numbers to get your call through:

  1. Change 1-800 to 001-880
  2. Change 1-888 to 001-881
  3. Change 1-877 to 001-882
  4. Change 1-866 to 001-883
  5. Change 1-855 to 001-884

Also try what was suggested by @computergeek541  and @hairbag1 and let us know, as it's something that everyone may run into while in Mexico.

Best,

Hope it helps.

That would be interesting and will have learned something if that works.  The reason that I believe that +1883 instead of +1866 wouldn't work is because of how there is no exit code there and I believe that it would be dialed just as country code of 1 and then the area code of 883.

That wouldn't work unless the bank is using that 883 number.  Do you just mean to dial the +?

Some toll free numbers only work if you're calling from a specific location.  I would suggest calling the non-toll-free number of your bank.  This is often provided on the back of your bank cards and credit cards.

try +1 883 instead of 866.
