Call my number and get someone else's voicemail??

I call my cell number (nonamemobile SIM), and my phone does not ring but ends up going to someone else's mailbox.  Plus, I dial my home number and it goes to voicemail.  Help.

did you just join? and you chose a new phone number intead of porting?

 PM and Telus has a glitch for giving out numbers that owned by someone already.  If that is the case, you might need to login My Account (use email to recieve 2FA) and go to Profile page and choose another number instead
