Hi all, I ported my number from Fido to Public Mobile 2 days ago. I received a text from Fido asking me to confirm the port, and I replied yes immediately, then took out the fido sim and started my phone with just the Public Mobile e-sim. Now I can make calls, and data works. But I can't receive calls, and I can't make or receive texts. I'm guessing something went wrong with the porting process? Any help is appreciated.

Well I fixed it... I popped my fido sim back into the phone and when I did, I had a few texts waiting for me. One was from fido saying something along the lines of "we sent you a message to authorize a port but you did not reply to it. Press 1 to re-initiate the request". But I definitely had replied to it within a minute of getting it. So anyways I pressed 1, then I got another text asking me to reply yes, this time I replies YES (all caps) whereas the first time I replied Yes so maybe that was the problem (it would be really dumb if their system is case sensitive). This time I received a confirmation text saying they received my confirmation. Then I took the fido sim out again and now everything works with the Public Mobile e-sim. Thanks to those who tried to help.

Thanks, I called the porting assistance number you messaged me. An automated voice told me they will send me a text to start the conversation. But since I can't receive texts, I can't get it. Any advice on how to proceed?

They see the correct number, the old Fido one.

@dpar987try reboot phone again now and test
make sure your PM sim is enabled with Turn on this line and set to Primary, try reboot and Reset Network settings.
but if no incoming calls , there is a porting assistance team you can call and ask for update. I can't post the number here, but I will message the number to your community inbox. Please check and call them

When YOU make a call, what number people see? Your ported number or some temp one?
