...but WHEN to upgrade???

Hello! Yes I too am extremely perturbed at the announced 20% ($3) increase to my minimalist $15 plan, and considering switching to another provider. But if I stayed at pm, I'd obviously switch to the CURRENTLY (Yes...but for how long?) offered $18 plan which features a little more for the same, increased price. (But then why not just automatically upgrade the plans you increase the prices on pm? Save us all the fretting. Geez...) BUT: Since the 20% price increase is scheduled for the SCARY date of October 31, doesn't that mean I'd have to upgrade AFTER that date? Otherwise wouldn't I actually be upgrading to a ( $18 + $3 equals ) $21 plan? Which is substantially MORE  than the already very steep 20% increase for those on the $15 minimal plan.

In sum; clarification, directly from pm, (since pm can raise rates whenever) would be greatly appreciated; on whether recently upgraded plans will also go up in price, or about WHEN is strategically best to upgrade, (assuming $18 plan now offered doesn't vanish on Oct.31!) Anyone go over this with a pm rep yet? Please let me know. Thanks.

Take care -Daniel

Public Mobile plan pricing appears to have lost the price stability at the lower end.  As for switching to the improved plan at the same price, personally I would be a little hesitant.  If the old plan still serves the needs, why risk a future price change again.  There is no free lunch.

We are just customers here so we don't know when the new $18 plan will be offered until.  But take it before it is gone

As to if more plan will see price hike, I would guess not from history.  PM do not usually adjust price on current plans.  They have done so only in the cheapest plans.  The last one was in the   $10 plan to $13 around 2 years ago  The $13 plan is untouched this time.  So, PM is not those that will increase price a lot.  I think the $18 proce will be good for at least another w years.  But again, it is just my guess from my observation

@survivalist_bum  I would switch to the $18 plan ASAP for next renewal and I I already have and on it before it’s gone , no one knows when PM will take it away , same as no one knows when PM will raise plan rates again on select plans .
