adding contacts to my new phone

I have added two contacts to my new phone.  When I try to call a number of one of my new contacts I get a message  saying "not registered on network".

It looks like rebooting will become way of life in 21st century. Reboot your phone, reboot your car, fridge, stove, toaster, tooth brush, sneakers connected to your activity tracker which is connected to your phone which controls your home's heating and lighting, etc.

@gggg649  - double check the phone number you entered.

Can they call you successfully?

Delete it, and try readding to your contacts.

Add (+1 or 1 ) in front of the any area code,

and try Rebooting device..
