Hello, I just ported my number from Rogers to Public Mobile and now my iMessage/FaceTime can not be activated anymore when I select my phone number as the “send and receive” recipient. I tried adding my number to sign in and security setting per suggestion from Apple support but I can not even receive the verification text.

Are you able to receive phone calls with your PM service? If you are unable to receive phone calls, then likely a stuck port issue.
I will private message you the Telus team porting team phone number to check status of port. Only used for porting issues. They can't help with account issues.

It’s still not working. Is there a way to check if the porting was done completely? I have been experimenting and it seems I cannot receive sms texts at all but can send them

make sure iOS and Carrier Profile are both updated
then go to iMessage settings to remove the phone number there, and reboot. After phone is up from the reboot, go back to iMessage and enter the phone number again to re-register iMessage and it will work
