Hi,
Wiped my phone for a fresh restart, how can I download the esim again?
Also, since I choose esim when ordering, is it still possible to order the physical sim card?
Thanks!

Hi @Manius,
You can order SIM cards several ways.

@Manius , if you want a SIM Card please don’t order it from Public Mobile. It took over 3 weeks to receive mine from Public Mobile delivered through Canada Post! You can get one much faster from Amazon if you have prime membership ! I got mine within 2 days of ordering it! Or you can check of you can purchase one locally.
Telus, Koodo, or Mobile Klinik store

Amazon Canada $4.99 + tax & free shipping with Amazon Prime

@Manius If you decide to go with a physical sim it's quicker to go to a corporate Telus/Koodo store (phone first to check on stock) or order it via Amazon. Delivery can be very slow when ordering them through PM. The advantage of a physical sim is that if you want to switch phones in the future you just swap the sim card. With e-sim you would have to buy a new one.

Hi @Manius,
If you've wiped your phone and need to download the eSIM again, unfortunately, you'll need to order a new eSIM. Since eSIMs are one-time-use and linked to a specific device, you can't re-download the eSIM from the original activation email.
If you initially chose eSIM during ordering and now want to switch to a physical SIM, you can reach out to Public Mobile's customer support. Submit a ticket to a customer support agent using this link: CS Ticket Submission. Explain your situation, and they will guide you through the process of obtaining a physical SIM.
I hope this clarifies the process for you. 🙂

New eSIM or new SIM card.
Either way you have to pay. Either way you get a new and different SIM/IMSI number.
When you buy eSIM, you buy convenience. Until you discover the inconvenience, you get what you pay for. eSIM is absolutely 100% non-transferable, even with same owner, even with same phone.

HI @Manius
sorry, if esim deleted, you have to rebuy for $5
yes, esim is not as good as it sounds because of this reason. Since you have to pay for a new one, why not get a physical sim card instead so you won't get this problem ongoing.?
