I have been a public mobile customer for less than 3 days now and after being a customer for 24 hours I asked them to switch my plan from $36 Canada-Us to $35 Canada-us-mexico and was told that they absolutely can not do that because other people would want to do the same. Has anyone else dealt with very unreasonable customer service people and has anyone been able to switch from the $36 plan to the $35 plan? Thank you

@Amandamul Another member just confirmed switching to the $30 plan immediately makes the $35 MEX plan available to then switch to in there accounts

Black Friday is a week away, there will be comparable plans from other providers. Always remember, you’re a new subscriber when you switch carriers, and just as PM has deals for new subscribers, other carriers will also.

PM customer service just confirmed they will NOT change my plan either. $1 difference (less) and only had the plan for 3 weeks ☹️. But thanks for the heads up and I will keep checking my account page to see if it does pop up.

They take that policy very seriously. They've even denied letting me upgrade to more expensive plans in the past because it was targeted.

@Amandamul Some have been able to but not all , but if you see they $30 plan I suggest switching to it then you should see the $35 plan to switch to after wards .if they won’t help and you can either just continue to pay them $30 every 30 days instead of $36 . And if you have the option to switch to the $35 MEX plan as I suspect you would then at that point . It’s only cost you $30 to get desired plan . Certainly cheaper then porting number out and back in on Newley created PM account to get the plan you truly want that’s my .02 cents

not just PM, many carrier won't allow subscriber to change to other new activation only plans even you just joined the day before. So, it is not uncommon

PM is a discount carrier that offers lower prices for less customer service. They typically wont "downgrade" a plan that you're on if its a special offer. If you see the plan offered to you though, you can change the plan yourself through the app or website, id suggest to "change at renewal" so you dont waste any time/money on the difference, because they wont refund the prorated unused amount.

@Amandamul Ever since the change to points from the old rewards PM has made it near impossible to switch plans down. You can only get plans that are showing in your account.

some where able to got changed with the help from Customer support. Wait couple hours and try again with a new message
and did you check your My Account's Change Subscription page? maybe the plan is there. If it is , use Change on Renewal to schedule a plan change (do not use Change Now or you will lose money)
