I am travelling for a few months so I unsubscribed temporarily, but I have $152 of available funds in my account right now. I am planning to resubscribe right before the 90 day window to keep my account and phone number. During this time, does my available funds go untouched until I resubscribe or will PM keep taking payment from it?

@Helenruch A quirk that I recall may be useful if someone else can confirm it. Namely that call forwarding all calls to another number persists if activated before turning on Lost/stolen phone.

Unsubscribing for autopay only turns off autopay charges to the payment card. It has never prevented a plan from renewing if there are enough funds in the available balance. In the payment section, "subscription" actually has nothing to do with the plan subscription. It only refers to the "subscription" to autopay. I agree that this is confusing how the word "subscription" has been used in two different places to mean two different things and I have mentioned it to Public Mobile a few times.

@slusagm From a previous (2023) thread, it depends if the amount in available funds fully covers the renewal amount. If it does, then the plan will be renewed from available funds but if not then it stays suspended.

@Dunkman the word Unsubscribe should mean stop the subscription. Since you are Oracle, maybe you can confirm for the Community with people high up. Tx

Nobody is going to touch your available funds IF YOU toggled a 'subscribe' switch. Your bill will not be paid as you disabled autopay. Remember 90 days cut off or you will lose everything: funds and account and number...

@slusagm Someone was on here not that long ago complaining that even though they had unsubscribed, their account was kept active by what was in their available funds. So as @Dunkman said, unless that has changed all that unsubscribing would do is stop the credit card payment and switch to deducting from available funds.

Do you mean you have already paid and renewed for $152 for 90 days, for example on February 9 running to about May 9?
If so, that plan and the money that you already paid will continue to run and be used up to May 9 which would be your next renewal, using my example. Suspending or reporting lost/stolen will not stop the already paid up plan from being used up.
It only pays off if you suspend your account a few days before a renewal so that less paid up money is wasted during the suspended period.
OTOH, if you pre-paid $152 and this money is sitting as a credit in "available fund" and not yet applied to a renewal (but why would you do this?), this credit should remain un-used during your suspension, if you report your phone lost or stolen.
Note: If you suspend your account or lost/stolen, you must reactivate it before 90 days. Otherwise, your account will be permanently closed and you will lose your number.

Unless things have changed, if you unsubscribe, your available funds will still be taken out of your account. Unsubscribed just turns off the credit card withdrawals.
One way around this is to report your phone lost/stolen. If lost or stolen, then your available funds will be untouched. Again there is a 90 day window period. If more than 90 days, then your account will be closed permanently and number lost.

As long as Subscribed is toggled off, your Available funds would be untouched
Take screenshot and keep for reference
And make sure your reactivate for at least a month around 80th days, and disable back after that renewal
edited by computergeek541: For greater clarity, I have crossed out incorrect infromation. Unsubscribing from autopay does not prevent avaialble funds from being used during a renewal if the amount of the that balance is enough to cover the plan price.
