I am currently using a Canada-US 50GB plan for $36 CAD.
However, I want to switch to the newly released CAN-US-MEX 5G 60GB for $35/month plan. It seems to be available only for new customers.
As an existing customer, am I eligible for this plan? If so, how can I switch?

Public Mobile has not made it impossible to downgrade to a lower priced plan. There may very well be lowered priced plans available for this customer.

All the advice so far is correct. PM makes it hard for existing customers to downgrade to a cheaper plan. I'm guessing that the only Can-US-Mex plan available to you is $45. In the past, you could try to message a customer agent and ask them to do switch to a cheaper plan. However, in the last few years, they will try to get you to buy the more expensive one.
Do you really need the extra 10GB each month or roaming to Mexico? Saving $12 per year on your current plan can probably buy you a 2-4 week esim for any foreign vacation.

@TIM_HONG, go into your account and see if you have the option to switch down to the $30 20 GB Canada-only plan. If you do, you can schedule a plan "Change on renewal" to this $30 plan. After that, you might see it after the plan change or you may need to wait closer to your next plan renewal but you should see different plan options available to you that are based on the $30 plan. I'm a customer like you so I can't make any guarantees but I did the same thing (except I was on a $34 50 GB Canada-US plan) and it worked for me. After switching to the $30 plan, the following month I then saw a $27 Canada-only plan appear. I'll be going to Florida in a few weeks so I have already scheduled a plan change to the $35 60 GB Canada-US-Mex plan.

@TIM_HONG - in addition the answers provided by others. The only (inconvenient) way to circumvent the process is to port out to another carrier, and then port back in to PM - at which time you would be a "new" customer and this will avail all plans to you. *Keep in mind that you would need a new SIM, you would lose your existing referrals if any, you would lose any extras you may have and you would forfeit any unused data/minutes that you've prepaid for if you leave mid cycle. Its a hassle, but it can be done. Hope this helps

PM has made it impossible to downgrade from your existing plan to a lower priced plan but you can check in your account if you are eligible to switch.

Login My Account and check Change Subscription page. If it is not there or if you don't get an text invite to change to that plan, then you won't. Be able to change to it
