Unable to receive calls/texts

Hello, I just got my sim from Public and I did the required steps such as cancelling my old service providers and putting in my new sim. I can make calls but I cannot receive calls(it goes straight to voicemail) and I cannot receive texts either. Is there anyway I can fix this issue?

hi @Shaevitha if you need to port you number into PM, you should never cancel the old service.  you should have it active and let the porting to take card the cancellation 

and can you make and receive phone calls, if not, you need PM support to take care and sort it out.

did you reply YEs to the SMS you should have received from old network ? You shouldn't need to cancel old service...that is done automatically once you've successfully ported in to PM...your old service needs to be active in order to do it right.  Once your old sim quits working...that's when you install the newly activated Public Mobile sim in your cell.
