I have purchases a 10 day talk add on to the US but am still unable to make my call???!!! Help

@lomnomad - if you purchased the wrong addon in error you could explain your mistake to CSA and ask them to add the value of the incorrect one to your available funds area. Then purchase the correct one.

Roaming addons = for use whilst in the USA
All other addons = for use whilst in Canada

Then maybe get TextNow that also does talk and call the US for free while connected to the internet somehow. The other side doesn't need to do anything differently.

@lomnomad Then you purchased 1000 US minutes for $15 and see that add-on under My Data/Add-ons on the overview page?
I was confused because you mentioned 10 day talk in your post and only roaming options are for 10 days. All other add-ons, to be used from/within Canada, are non expiring.
Try rebooting the phone first.

You got your add on and it is in your account? Is that the Talk Addon? You tried to select the 2 US carriers? Not everywhere has 3G network for voice, try both and stick with the one that works

Do you just need to be bale to call the US from Canada? Or are you in or soon going to be travelling in the US and want a plan to use your phone. If it is the latter you bought the wrong add on, no worries you can connect with a CSA and explain the oversight and they can put that back into your available balance to put towards an US LD add on.

@lomnomad Which roaming add-on did your purchase? Was it one of the following:
You could try rebooting the phone, toggling airplane mode on/off or power off and remove SIM and reinsert after a couple of minutes and reboot.
Try switching between AT&T and T-Mobile as one may give better coverage than the other. Also enable roaming.
Edit: just re-read your question, are you asking about calling to the US from Canada or calling from US to Canada?

oh....what add on can I buy to make a call to the US? and yes I did actually buy the add on. It is in my account.

Did you actually ADD this add-on to your account?
Try manually to connect two those 2 mentioned providers. If none works try rebooting phone or maybe these two no longer support 3G in area you are in.

@lomnomad Buying addon is a 2 step processes, Load Fund and then buy. Many ppl just loaded and unaware need to go back and buy. Did you buy after loading the fund? Log in to My Account and check Plan Details and see if Roaming addon is there
If you are sure you bought and Roaming Talk shows on your Plan Detials, then at Network Selection, manually connect to TMobile or AT&T. Do not leave it on Automatic. Try both networks and see which one works
