There is no Public Mobile user can dial and get thru to any number starting with 782-899. Both my children have phones with this number and I cannot call them. I get the message “sorry the number Cannit be completed as Dialed” yet they can call me.
if this cannot be resolved I fear I will have to switch networks.

With reference to my open ticket, Public Mobile have said that there is a valid issue and have escalated it and are working on it as we speak and they should have a solution soon. I’ll keep you all updated as new info unfolds.. Really appreciate the support I am getting from everyone and PM

Yes willl do. I opened a ticket and then realized my son had opened one prior to this using my account, so two tickets are opened on my account for the same issue.. I hope that does not cause a delay. Thanks everyone!

Works from my Telus Mobility line and my Fongo line. Must be a Public Mobile issue.

hi @DennyCrane any 782-899-xxxx number will fail. Google a number and try both Telus and PM or even try with non-Telus

yes @Euyghn , don't change you number and don't change you kids' number. PM is supposed to fix it and they will for sure. Please put in the ticket and other who needs to call the number will thanks you for taking this for the team

hi @Euyghn I can confirm the problem calling 782-899-xxxx too. Can't call from PM but works if called from another carrier. If is weird it cannot, it is a valid Fido-Rogers number
you really have to submit a ticket with PM. Since it is not a one account problem, support will help. Ask them to escalate to Telus technician
And if you have friends using Koodo or Telus, ask them to test calling too. It might be an issue with the whole Telus family and not just PM

this will only become important when more users have to call that number and realise they can’t. Other wise.. it’s useless for just one person opening a ticket.

@Euyghn You can open a ticket with Public Mobile customer support using the chat icon bottom right of this page, they do not monitor this forum. Is there any possibility the problem is at the other end?

@Euyghn I understand , but why not change the kids number if it’s the number that didn’t work . Why change your number when it’s their number you can’t call that’s what I don’t understand

Again, I have tried everything, including changing my number and my wife’s number using the app, but please understand that My number is not 782-899-xxxx it’s my children’s numbers. They are not Public mobile users, they have already changed their networks and it still does not work.

@Euyghn .well you can always change the phone number in the account profile page . And you can change the phone number 4x for free every 30 days of for whatever reason those number are not working for you

lol, 1st of all we all live in Nova Scotia and 2nd I have tried everything including using the 1 , +1, 001, you name it. Why do t you just try to dial it and tell me what happens.

@Euyghn 782 is Nova Scotia area code ? Try putting 1 782 899 XXXX and test again
