Roaming over Ice Wireless

dreadspecter

Hello everyone. I've recently wound up in the North for work. I've been here 5 days and have 5 bars signal with the network carrier being "Emergency Calls Only". The local carrier is Ice Wireless and Wikipedia tells me they have a roaming agreement with Telus, but I seem to be unsuccessful connecting to them. I tried all the usuals (resetting phone, etc). Has anyone been successful roaming over Ice Wireless at all? Thanks!

@dreadspecter   The Wikipedia article implies that Ice Wireless customers can roam on Telus and other networks but it's not clear if it would be reciprocal.  Having said that, have you checked the Telus coverage map for where you are?  The emergency calls only could be using another carrier.  The Telus coverage map is here

Perhaps someone else has some experience of this and can help.  I don't know of PM customer service would know about this but if you want to try then open a service ticket at the chat icon bottom right of this page.

@dreadspecter

We are not aware PM has roaming agreement with Ice.  The one roaming we aware is some particular area in BC with Rogers
